A Charlotte Wedding

April 27, 2009
While some couples choose traditional style photography for their weddings, others opt for a photojournalist’s approach.   This approach allows the photographer to capture moments which otherwise would be missed.  The groomsmen helping each other adjust their ties, the guests’ emotions during the ceremony, the bridesmaids sharing stories of friendship, all of these moments are part of a story: a wedding story.   I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding alongside  photographer Ryan Sumner. Ryan is the Creative Director for Fenix Fotography in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Please be sure and check out Ryan’s diverse portfolio of fashion, editorial, sports, and other photography works at FenixFoto.com.  Here are a few moments captured through my lens…

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of shooting Samantha Campbell.  Samantha was a pleasure to work with.  The shoot was located at the UNCC Botanical Gardens here in Charlotte, NC. It was organized by Photo Focus Network.  Thanks to everyone that came out to shoot and Samantha!

Chandelier

March 2, 2009

We do not get snow in the Charlotte area very often, but when we do I have to take advantage of it quick! It is already melting away in the warmth of the sun’s rays. Ahhh…spring should be here soon!

Cute Kid?

I was down in Georgia this past weekend and was hoping to shoot a little.  Well, the weather was not cooperating, but I was able to visit the neighbors and get this shot of their newborn.
